Y&T
Before Motley Crüe, before Ratt, even before there was a Metallica, when Y&T formed in the early 1970s, they set the standard for hard rock bands that trailed. Many of the most popular heavy rock bands of the '80s, at the birth of their careers, opened shows for headliners Y&T; and they all cut their teeth on Y&T, as evidenced by the Y&T mentions in the tell-all books by acts such as Metallica and Motley Crüe. Hailing from the east bay, Y&T is one of the San Francisco bay area's own innovators of the hard rock sound.
ERIC MARTIN
Eric Martin started his career singing at the end of the 70’s for a San Francisco band called 415. With 415, Eric played hundreds of shows opening for established act like Billy Squire, Hall & Oats, Journey, ZZ Top and Foreigner to name a few. 415 was signed to Elektra/Asylum records and “Sucker for a pretty face” was released after a name change to the Eric Martin Band (EMB). The band parted ways after returning from a 1984-85 ZZ Top tour. In 1988-89, Eric would team up with Billy Sheehan, Pat Torpey and Paul Gilbert to form Mr. Big.
LA GUNS
L.A. Guns started in 1982 as a straight up dirty ass rock n roll band. The band was put together by Tracii Guns in his last year of high school. The band has had some notable members such as Axl Rose, Phillip Lewis and Jizzy Pearl, but continues today with band members Paul Black (the Singer) Jeremy Guns (the Bass Player) Chad Stewart (the Drummer), and of course Tracii Guns (the Guitarist). L.A. Guns has been a work in progress without an end in sight, continually touring and of course writing and recording a huge variety of rock n roll sounds.
CLIFF MORRISON AND THE LIZARD SUN BAND
Cliff Morrison and the Lizard Sun Band, the son of legendary Doors frontman and rock icon Jim Morrison. Cliff brings an eclectic brand of rock to the show, with a smattering of 60's influence, and a hauntingly and unmistakable vocal similarity to his late father. Cliff even performs a few remarkable covers of some Doors hits.
Cliff pursues a pure and true sound. His goal is to give the audience "The Ultimate Morrison Experience", whether he's onstage or in your own living room. So sit back, relax, and listen to Cliff Morrison on Myspace.
